This is the east side of the amenity building with the old entrance and foyer in shot. The part of the foyer behind the two red poles was a kids play area even in the services days but always looked like it may have been originally designed as the Wimpy.

The building on its own to the right is related to the filling station. i think it was the plant room building for the car wash. Originally it was possibly to drive round this side between the car park and filling station but when the site was split - the services kept the forecourt and shop and the rest became "Kingdom of fun" - the silver fence was put up.

I don't know if there was ever an upstairs or whether the dormers are just fake. The green frames probably relate to BP who built the site originally I think. They were certainly the first forecourt operator. The Forecourt is behind the main building but joined to it (like Monmouth, Shardlow, Rivington etc).
