The main services building and car park are viewed from the old road (once the main A94 Perth to Stonehaven road). The A94 was re-routed around the back of the services when the dualling was done and traffic now accesses the services by a grade separated junction to the left of the services. The A94 later became the A90 and the old road is now just access for the services and Stracathro hospital. The car park is huge and very bumpy! "Ye may gang far and fare waur" essentially means "You could travel a lot further and not find anything as good as this". It certainly is quite something!
