Staverton services would have been on the M5 between J10 and J11, but while the land was never bought or prepared, there are four ghost slips.
It was planned to be an infill site built when the other services became full.
Unlike many planned infill services, a full plan was drawn up. It included two small amenity buildings connected by a footbridge. There would have been a picnic area at the back of each building and parking areas at the far end of each side.
Strensham services is 11 miles north of here, and 10 miles to the south is another unbuilt service area at Moreton Valence. Today there are plans for a new service area a few miles to the south, called Gloucestershire Gateway.
Michaelwood services are 20 miles to the south south.
