Have you received my email? If you could let me know what you think that would be great as I need to get back to them. If you haven't received it please let me know! :) Johnny(talk) 20:37, 23 June 2011 (BST)
Just to let you know, I've removed your photo File:GordanoGamesRoom.jpg following a complaint from someone who was in it. You didn't actually do anything wrong, but I figured that for the sake of one photo it wasn't worth the fight. You are welcome to upload another copy with the people either removed or heavily masked if you want to.
Sorry about that. Johnathan404 14:42, 22 October 2011 (BST)
Just so you know, the reason you couldn't upload this photo is because it was too big for the site to handle. Every time the site tried to show you what it looked like (including on the main page), it failed and created a white space.
It's not your fault at all - the site is supposed to stop you from uploading things that it can't handle - but we are having repeated problems with this not happening and it's going to take me a long time to sort it out. So this is just a heads up so you know what happened!
As an aside, there is currently a lot of debate going on over the internet about how big photos should be, because we don't know what we'll need in the future. I don't know what the right answer is (not too big to break the site would be nice (;-)) ), but I'd suggest keeping it below 2.5mb (the actual dimensions of a photo of that size will vary depending on what the picture is of). The size of the file you just uploaded is too big for the site to handle and has now crashed the homepage! user:Rich 22:48, 26th August 2012 (GMT)
- And the same thing applies to File:Telford EatIn.jpg & File:Telford WHS.jpg user:Rich 22:51, 26th August 2012 (GMT)
- Indeed. I have now gone through all seven of them, worked out where they are saved on the site, downloaded them on to my own computer, resized them and then forced them back on to the site to overwrite the originals. That's quite irritating. Which is a shame because they're a nice set of pictures.
- Please, I implore all of you, don't break the site! It's a sensitive beast and needs to be treated with care! Other than supposed future-proofing, there is no benefit to uploading anything wider than 800px anyway, and this really isn't helping with our other issues. Johnathan404 23:46, 26 August 2012 (BST)
I work for a PR agency and have seen your pic of the new Cobham site. I'm very keen to use this in a press release for one of my clients. Is this possible? Just wanted to check re any copyright issues.
Please let me know. Thanks Danny Drughoobeer 11:35, 20 September 2012 (BST)
