Eat & Drink Co. it is a rather horrible place. Everything it offers is expensive so I consider that no one should try this place.

I visited the EDC at Southwaite North Services. It is a false claim that EDC is trying to provide good quality food. My experience was the opposite from this. The food was terrible, over priced rubbish. I bought a chicken tikka, the beaautiful picture featured of the dish was at best misleading. A small portion served with Doritos instead of popadoms !! I would like to find something positive to say about my encounter ah maybe the staff !! no they were slow & grumpy ! unhelpful. I will never step foot in an EDC ever again. I would suggest looking into alternatives.

Breakfast at Leigh Delamere was undramatic.

The food itself was fine - absolutely OK, which is what I'd expect from a service station you are only visiting because you have to. My only objection is, predictably, the price: once again you can get better food for £3 when I paid £7.

So don't criticise the food - that wasn't the problem!

Incidentally, the service was quick and waitress pleasant too (one of those people who strike you as having been on a course of "good morning!")

Having driven nearly 800 miles from Switzerland in a day , enjoying excellent fuel and food stops en route , I reached Heston services at 0830 on 3/5/2013

A bad mistake.

My order was placed at 0836 for a breakfast and coffee ; there were two people drinking coffee and no other customers were visible .

The company says it moved away from fast food and it was re-branded a slow food outlet some years ago .
Sadly the company has also moved it's service in the same direction as my breakfast took 20 mins to arrive at 0856 , and only after I had enquired when it would come on three occasions ( both staff seemed more interested in chattering to themselves and handing out breakfast buns to the three or four customers who appeared at the breakfast serving bar.) Apart from the egg everything was already available under the counter lamps so it should have been served within in a couple of minutes.

The toast was cold as was the hash brown and the sausage . There was some heat from the beans and the egg had just been cooked .

This is another example of low grade British Motorway services - Thank God for private enterprise and the Tebay Services on the M6

My advice to anyone stopping at Heston is avoid the Eat and Drink Company if you possibly can

Parked at Bridgwater.. Terrible.. Paid for overnight parking at 18:40 to be told that they close at 7 and had no food left, or at least very little. Why offer the meal voucher if you can't provide the service? Strange way to operate. Along with the awful attitudes and the unhealthy look about the place it was a poor experience. I'll be in touch to get a refund once I wake up in the morning.

Cardiff Gate and Cardiff West are pretty similar. Both have BK, a coffee franchise and WHS. Although neither have restaurants, I think that Greggs will give West an advantage if signed.

**INTERESTING**

Although Cardiff Gate doesn't do proper food either!
