I would never use Travelodge.

I was a loyal customer, who had a customer service issue that Travelodge would not accept or acknowledge. I wrote several complaint letters to them, however they still would not accept my complaint, and in fact the last reply I had from them inferred that the issue I had was in fact my fault and my doing.

So I don't think they have any kind of customer services, as I don't feel they have represented the customer at all!

I have used several travelodges this year and found them to be fine, pretty souless but convenient and cheaper than the rest. If you can book ahead there are a few £19 rooms too.

magor newport travel lodge
never again
THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON
including hotels in India at £3 per night.
we were charged £55 for the night
the available wifi turned out to need a voucher chsrging £5 per hour
no one on duty in the morning
the TV had only 5 channels
the manager of this hotel needs to pay attention to this complaintI'm telling everyone that travelodge should be avoided at all costs (even £9 per night !!!!)

This place is out of this world, this has to be the most dismall, sole destroying venue for any hard working person to arrive at and have to spend a night. There are only two good points about this place, and those would be the the very helpfull and professional ladies on the reception(not the young one).If I went into detail about what was wrong with this place it would take a life time. So the major point I would like to get over is that when you check in to one of these run down epensive worn out eighties post houses you might have to take a chance and eat something. Being in a situation where I had no option but to eat in the grotto of grim I ordered .......

An orange juice,(plastic bottle, size of thumb), breakfast brunch which was absolutley terrible, cheap pink in the middle sausage, bacon with white residue flowing from it.. need I go on.... Oh and a cup of rank tea in a pot that was desinged to go every where apart from the cup.. The sum total for this complete rubbish was.... £13.25....

We are all intelligent beings, all trying to get on in life, please someone explain to me why these people are taking the absolute p..s out of everybody trying to earn an HONEST living...

Yours honestly

Ben Ranson....

I booked a twin room at Uttoxeter for 1 night for 04/07/11. On arrival at about 9.50 pm I was informed that the beds had not been seperated, so I had to do this myself, I then had to chase up reception to get appropriate bedding and make up our own beds!! (this is after a 5 1/2 hour journey.)
I was unhappy with the cleanliness of the room it looked and felt grubby and shabby. The toilet did not flush properly and disgustingly still contained residue from the previous occupant. The room had been adapted for disabled use and as such had no lock on bathroom door and was situated right next to reception and the windows opened up on to the smoking area at the front of the building, so we were continuously disturbed by smokers' coming and goings and had to keep the window shut.
Neither of us slept a wink all night and could not even watch television due to interference on the screen. We were unable to make a morning drink because there was a brown slime in the kettle. Even though we did not have to continue our journey for over two hours, we couldn't get out of there quick enough and left well before 8 o'clock Tuesday morning.
I have travelled around the country extensively and have frequented many basic style accomendations, but this was by far the worse I have ever stayed at. In all honesty had I been travelling by road and not rail I would have slept in my car. This was an awful experience which cost me £65.00, and one I hope never to repeat.
