Myself and my mum stopped at the Chester 'Hotfood Co'. To be fair the dining area was clean and tidy. There we lots of people clearing and wiping tables. We ordered 2 Traditional breakfasts at £6.49 each or 2 for £11.The girl who served us asked if we wanted toast. I was momentarily excited until I realised that toast was a £1 more. We then asked for two cups of tea. All this came to a grand total of £17.30. As if the company weren't taking enough money of us, she then asked us if we wanted to spend yet another Great British pound on a bottle of water! The breakfast was assembled on a plate by a chap who looked like he had had a personality transplant. The food arrived on the tray, 1 small sausage, 1 of shred of bacon, a decent looking fried egg, a teaspoon full of beans and one very tired looking hash brown! The girl who served us bid us a fond farewell and told us to 'enjoy' our meal'. I would have done if there had been slightly more on the plate, if the toast and drink had been included in the price. The company should have a rebranding session and rename itself 'the very luke warm co', as the breakfast was less than hot. The tea was the colour of......well I don't know what colour it was but it wasn't tea coloured. Even the butter wasn't quite enough to cover the majority of the toast. Vastly overpriced,(it works out at £1.10 per items. You know and I know that it doesn't cost £1.10 for a scrappy piece of bacon. Come on 'Hotfood Co' get it sorted and restore your service station credibility!

visited Northampton Roadchef on 24th Sept. Ordered two breakfasts and requested that the egg on one should be well cooked. When it arrived, it was exactly the same as the eggs on the other breakfast (i.e. very runny). To be fair, when I asked the assistant to put it back on the griddle, she did this with a smile and cooked it to my satisfaction. However, the food was overpriced and greasy, and barely warm. Not much for the money. All the available cutlery looked dirty and greasy, with some sort of residue encrusted on it. Suspect it had not been washed in very hot water. Had to rub very hard with a serviette to make it acceptable. Not a very satisfying experience. Will not be returning.
