Trivia:

The services are located in deep rural Scotland and they were one of just three to be built by Blue Boar - the company that built Watford Gap. Unusually, RoadChef haven't bulldozed it and replaced it with something more modern. Perhaps they want to keep the rural atmosphere.

They're the first RoadChef services you'll pass as you head north of the border.

Another service area that replaced Little Chefs. The old A74 used to go right through Johnstonebridge village which lies to the west of the Motorway junction and had a little Chef and petrol Station on each side of the road. These both closed when Annandale opened in 1996, but if you go into Johnstonebridge the closed southbound Little Chef and Fuel forecourt are still there.

Brilliant! Ten out of ten!

If you're ever at this part of the county- this is the MSA you should use!
