Trivia:

Magor was built along with the Second Severn Crossing, as the new route would by-pass Severn View services. As part of a takeover, they will soon be operated by Moto.

Survey results:

In April 2007, the members of Vans United voted Magor as the worst service station in Britain.

The services were inspected by the AA on the 24th and 25th of March 2007. These are their results:

Category:Rating:
Road safety and parking:Very Good
Outdoor facilities:Very Poor
Access and indoor facilities:Poor
Catering:Good
Shop:Good
Service:Good
Family Friendliness:Acceptable
Hygiene:Poor
Pricing:Poor
Final Score:Acceptable

The services were said to be well signed with sufficient parking spaces, but there was a lack of disabled access, high prices and poor hygiene.

In 2006 Magor came near the bottom of Holiday Which?'s survey, having provided them with a "truly miserable experience". The food was condemned too.

My bike was knocked over last night cracked my exhaust, bent my handle bars, broke my foot peg and scratched. No CCTV. I rate their road safety and parking as poor

One day, I stopped in Magor after a grueling backpacking holiday in Brecon. It was the worst mistake of my life. The toilets were overflowing with shite. The showers didn't work and I was charged £2 for a mini-milk. This was only the beginning. After waiting nearly an hour for a panini, I enquired as to its whereabouts only to find that it had been burnt to a crisp and I had to wait a full 15 minutes for another.

After this initial nightmare I tried to make a quick exit and found my car had been blocked in another vehicle, although this was not the fault of the services the staff did nothing to help.

DON'T GO THERE!!

The place that time forgot.
It was just like going back to the 80s stoping here.
And the 80s were not a great decade. 8-|
