Designed only for traffic on the A50, Markfield is a small service area directly accessible from the M1. The lack of custom means it can get very dirty, and the main facilities are not 24 hours - overnight customers are directed to the petrol station.

The services are not signed from the motorway or the sliproads, but they are signed from the roundabout. From the M1 north, you need to leave at J22 and follow the signs for 'Ashby A511'. Take the second exit (left) at the roundabout and then take the immediate left to enter the services. From the M1 south, you need to leave at J22 and follow the signs for 'Ashby A511'. Take the fourth exit (right) at the roundabout and then take the immediate left to enter the services.
