Sitting almost exactly half way between Leigh Delamere services and Aust services (before the Second Severn Crossing was built Severn View services were on the M4 and known as Aust), Pucklechurch is noticeable because it has all four 'sliproads to nowhere'.
The land doesn't look like it has been prepared for a service area, although on either side of the motorway there is a farm access road which runs from the overbridge which is immediately to the west, straight to the field where the services should be, although the one on the north side also serves a few other farms. With this in mind, it is probable that the plan for these unbuilt services was original to this bit of the M4.
