This will probably be due to the proximity of Cambridge Services and the Little Chef at Fenstanton being only a few miles west. The petrol station site now houses a hand car wash, and access to the Travelodge is via the forecourt. Remarkably, the site is still signed as a service area!

Notes: Officially known as 'Orwell Crossing Lorry Park', but it caters for all vehicles. It's located a few miles after the Orwell Bridge, from which it takes its name. The services seem to be very popular with all its visitors, and readers of Truck & Driver recently voted it as providing the best breakfast of any service area.
