KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) have found themselves at a lot of the larger Welcome Breaks, as well as a couple of refurbished old ones. It is alleged that today, having KFC on the motorway is just the same as in the high street, and as a result it has proven very popular with travellers. It is often paired up with Burger King.

For a short while Welcome Break started painting their services red, to advertise KFC. Services with KFC are also advertised rather sneakily from the motorway, because Welcome Break have change their logo to read "Welcome Break KFC".

They are also at the newer Extra services. Their opening hours have caught a few people out and they often close before 6pm - check with their website to be sure.

Posted: 10 Oct 2012, 23:53 Gill Hamill KFC Dear Sir /Madam, This weekend we spent travelling to and from Manchester as my daughter is a student there. On both journeys (friday and Sunday) we stopped at the Hilton Park service station and had a KFC meal. On both occasions there were no salt sachets, no serviettes or forks with the food. It is very inconvenient when you get to the car and then find you have no condiments. Please could you remind your stff to issue them.
