Trivia and History
The site is located in the position of Buck Barn Farm, which later became an engineering works. The site became a service area in the 1970s and was developed by Margram.
The filling station was previously branded Total and in 1991 they planned to redevelop the site to include a restaurant and a hotel. These plans were later withdrawn.
In 2001, Petromar redeveloped the site demolishing the former Total filling station and building a new BP filling station with a Somerfield store. The new sales building also included a new inter-connected McDonald's Drive Thru restaurant.
