Trivia and History
The Little Chef closed in around 2005. Following the closure, the restaurant was purchased by local restaurant chain Buddies USA Diner. Following the coronavirus lockdown, the restaurant permanently closed in summer 2020.
The restaurant was purchased by the original owner of Buddies USA Diners in December 2020 and transformed into 'Hamburger Heaven '81', which takes its name from when the first Buddies diner opened back in 1981. The new restaurant opened on 14 December 2020 with room for 80 diners.
The forecourt store used to be branded Mace. This was changed to Costcutter in 2017.
