The Hornchurch branch of Little Chef was positioned just to the east of here, on the Londonbound side. It opened in around 1970 and closed in 2002.
In December 2020, planning permission was granted to install 3 bp pulse electric vehicle charging points on the eastbound side. These are expected to be installed in 2021.
