Partney Filling Station
Trivia and History
The filling station here started out life as a garage built on the old Sausthorpe Road in the 1960s, along with two semi-detached houses.
In the early 2000s, the site was redeveloped into the filling station we see today with canopy, pumps and sales building.
The site has been selling Rix fuels for a number of years. In the early 2010s, the totem pole was altered to promote SPAR as the prominent brand on site rather than the Rix fuels.
In late 2018, the SPAR store gained a Stacked sandwich bar. Planning permission was also granted for 2 InstaVolt electric vehicle charging points in 2018 however they are yet to be installed.
