reStore was Roadchef's own-brand name of shop. It was introduced as part of a rebranding in 2001, which updated the main Roadchef logo and onRoute café to all use a similar style.

As a shop, it was a standard newsagent-style affair. Historically the products sold in shops had been heavily regulated, so most of the shopping areas at the time were very small and limited in range.

In 2009, motorway service area operators all started to realise that the products they were selling was similar to the range available at WHSmith Travel stores. As the industry was moving towards adopting as many high street brand names as possible, Roadchef decided to roll route WHSmith franchises across their estate.

Prior to using reStore, Roadchef used the name 'RoadShop'. This was styled to look like their previous logo. They also had a small experiment with Spar. More than 10 years later, Spar is now being used by Roadchef again, alongside WHSmith.
