Trivia and History

Little Chef Burger King.
The old Little Chef restaurant.

The site was built at the same time as the Norwich Bypass, and is widely known as Norwich services.

Forte built the services as a restaurant, hotel and forecourt operation. It was the new Norwich branch of Little ChefHistory, which gained a Burger King. In 2002 it became a Little Chef Choices, gaining a Harry Ramsden's and Caffè Ritazza. These were later removed.

In 2018, Euro Garages' rights to use the Little Chef name expired, so it was quickly replaced with EG Diner. This was closed in October 2018, with a Greggs and Subway opening in December 2018.

A McDonald's opened opposite the services in early 2018 however it isn't part of the signed service area.

6 IONITY electric vehicle charging points are due to be installed on the Shell forecourt in 2021.
