The large customer seating area at Charnock Richard, located on the footbridge between BK and KFC. Compared to other Welcome Break sites, it looks dated. The flooring is worn & it’s more obvious this building is from 1963. When first opened, this bridge housed the “Grill & Griddle” restaurant. In 1982 a Little Chef opened on this bridge, but closed 14 years later in 1996. The large windows display close views of the M6. This seating wasn’t in high demand as Charnock Richard wasn’t very busy during my visit.
