Large customer seating area centred around food units at Fleet South. There’s plenty of seating here making the site less chaotic during the busy summer period. In the old building, the seating area was large, but didn’t feel as spacious as the ceiling was much lower and it wasn’t as brightly lit. For a service station, Fleet South’s seating is very impressive. It’s plentiful, clean & obtains a TV screen displaying Welcome Break/motorway related news. It’s neatly arranged and all the tables/chairs are clean (no rubbish). This seating area is exactly the same as when the building opened in 2018 & looks completely different to that of the seating at Northbound, which has improved. This seating appears similar to that of some other modern Welcome Breaks like South Mimms or Hopwood Park. During my visit, this seating was in high demand as the building was fairly busy due to it being one of the first days of the summer holiday.
