Hybrid unit at Sedgemoor North, situated at the back corner of the food court section of the amenity building. My visit was made during the morning, when The Good Breakfast operates. In the afternoon, Chopstix Noodle Bar takes over. This is a smart, space saving idea from Welcome Break. Similar ideas have been implemented by Moto and Roadchef in the past. After Eat In was removed from the amenity building and Subway was added, there was some spare space. In 2017, this space was used to open a Chopstix Noodle Bar unit. This closed in 2020 due to lockdown, and remained closed in 2021 due to lack of staff for the unit to reopen. It was left unused until May 2022 when the unit was refurbished into a Good Breakfast, then 2 months later the Chopstix Noodle offer in the afternoon was introduced, reintroducing Chopstix to Sedgemoor North. Technically, this unit doesn’t have any seating of its own, but as you can see, the customer seating is positioned in front of this unit. Pricing for Good Breakfast is fairly expensive compared to Subway and Chopstix is more inflated price wise than their high street locations, but neither are as expensive as Burger King. It’s a modern, clean unit, and a fairly small one. Neither of the brands this hybrid unit uses are signposted from the M5, but they are both included on the totem sign for Sedgemoor North. The unit was quite quiet during my visit, which is strange but customers who don’t frequent motorway services won’t know what “The Good Breakfast” is and will choose other, high street names.
