Greggs bakery at Cobham, located towards the back of the interior within the food court, opposite customer seating, and next to KFC. Greggs is another original brand at Cobham which opened in 2012. It’s operated by Moto and unlike Greggs units at Moto sites, customers can use the seating area opposite. Greggs is a small unit without its own seating area, and the logo above the store hasn’t changed since 2012, which is rare for a Greggs as they typically never keep outdated logos. Greggs was introduced to Moto services in 2012, meaning Cobham was one of the first services to gain a Greggs. Greggs is ideal for quick bites and baked snacks. It’s also a fairly low-cost brand, attracting customers who don’t want to spend as much on food. Prices are still inflated, but Greggs is still cheaper than other food outlets here. Greggs take most of the morning trade along with McD and Starbucks, & seem to quieten down later in the day. My visit was lunch time, and as the pic evidences, Greggs was very busy. At least Moto and Extra are making money, but this unit is small & tedious to use when packed. Greggs is a good example of how motorway services have changed their food offering since the 1960s from luxurious “sit-down” trade to brand names providing snacks and meals. Anyhow, Greggs being one of Cobham’s core, flagship brands means it’s included from the signpost for Cobham on the M25 (in both directions). Greggs is advertised at various points around the amenity building and is included on all totem poles at Cobham.
