Doxey is a fairly small site that was never used. Instead, more recently, Stafford services have cropped up a few miles to the north.

The northbound side of Doxey has a clear parking area and space for the amenities building, whereas it is now used as a HGV checkpoint. The southbound side isn't quite so grand and it is just used to pile rubble, although it has a clearly marked out access road.

Both sites are signposted from the road as a works depot, but because of the lack of size you really wouldn't think anything of it.

The sliproads are really sharp, especially the southbound ones. There has been a lot of talk about the works depot being used for all sorts, including a nuclear bunker! Unfortunately, the truth is that this is utter rubbish.
