Most of the customer seating at Sandbach Northbound, located left of the entrance opposite the food units. It’s a dated seating area, but does the job and can cater for the large crowds Sandbach receives. It wouldn’t have changed much since 1975 (opening year) & the large windows (which add lots of sunlight to the interior) are original. During my visit, it was fairly busy. Typically, Roadchef sites have their seating centralised so it’s equidistant from all units available, however Sandbach only having 2 units means it wasn’t worth reconfiguring. Despite Sandbach being a small site, it grabs remarkable crowds from the busy section of M6 it’s located off, which is why it’s odd that Roadchef haven’t invested in it much and no extensions/refurbishments have been made recently.
