Exterior of Michaelwood Northbound’s amenity building, appearing very small and black. It’s clear where the extension of Waitrose was added. The entire building had a face lift in around 2011. Michaelwood first opened in 1971 by Mobil as a temporary stop and has grown ever since. It looks considerably different to when it was first built. It was fairly busy during my visit as it was the holiday season & pretty much all M5 service stations experience a peak in custom levels during holidays. The building looks quite tidy & there are picnic benches in front of the building when the weather is clement. It’s common to see brand advertisements at Michaelwood North!
