Greggs outlet at Birch Eastbound, situated at the front of the amenity building, offering both internal and external access. It was Moto’s 2nd Greggs store to open before their estate-wide roll out. It opened in June 2012 & is designed around being relatively low cost (only brand without massively inflated prices that Moto use) & quick, owing to how this store doesn’t require you to enter the amenity building at all. HGV drivers will especially benefit from this. It’s a fairly small unit & lacks any customer seating. Its obvious location outside the amenity building means it grabs some additional trade where other Greggs located indoors (such as Westbound and some other Motos) are indoors & less obvious, thus won’t have this advantage. Greggs was quite busy during my visit considering how quiet the rest of the site was. Greggs is signposted from the M62 East so customers stopping at Birch know it’s here.
