LEON restaurant at Clacket Lane West, located opposite WHSmith, separate from the other food units at the back of the interior. Its location means customers pass every other food brand available before reaching LEON, meaning it loses trade in this respect. LEON opened here in 2020 as part of Roadchef’s rollout of the brand. It was meant to open in March, but opened in July subject to delays caused by lockdown. It replaced Pret & consists of its own customer seating area. LEON do a breakfast menu as well as lunch, but most choose McDonalds as it’s cheaper than this. It’s the newest unit at Clacket Lane and you can tell as this section of the amenity building (with LEON and WHSmith) has 2 modernised brands which look fresh, when all other units here seem older. LEON was very quiet during my photo shoot and is signposted from the M25 as well as advertised frequently around the site.
