McDonald's outlet at Sandbach North, situated next to Fresh Food Cafe in the “food court” area. Small for a McD, this unit replaced Roadchef’s “The Burger Company” which was a placeholder brand, replacing Roadchef’s Wimpy outlets that had closed. McDonald's keep their prices consistent when other similar brands, such as Burger King, inflate theirs on the motorway, making McD more popular from a money saving point of view. Without McDonald's, Sandbach would struggle. McDonald's is signposted from the M6 North and frequently around the site, and was busy during my visit. This McD looks identical to the one at Southbound. McDonald's has no seating of its own, it shares a large, communal one opposite with Fresh Food Café.
