Photo: Starbucks Coffee - Welcome Break Fleet Southbound.jpeg

Original file(960 × 1,280 pixels, file size: 329 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Starbucks lounge at Fleet Southbound, set amongst the customer seating area in a stand-alone “kiosk” (near the main entrance). Starbucks has traded from Fleet since 2009 and replaced Coffee Primo in the old amenity building, which burnt down. Starbucks has always been a popular brand for Welcome Break, as it’s essential for providing coffee for tired motorists. Welcome Break suggested Starbucks would increase their sales by between 20% and 40% in 2009 when they first rolled out the brand across all their sites. Starbucks is open 24 hours, & doesn’t have its own seating as it’s surrounded by customer seating for Starbucks, and other facilities here. This, and the drive thru restaurant here, are the only Starbucks at Fleet South, which is why it’s strange that Northbound, the smaller side, has 3 Starbucks units. This pic evidences the spacious, bright design of the new building at Fleet South, as well as Welcome Breaks routine flooring scheme for refurbishments. During my visit, Starbucks was moderately busy as my visit was during the morning. Starbucks is signposted (as a drive thru) from the M3 South and Starbucks is frequently advertised around the site.
