A5 Nesscliffe Bypass South
Trivia and History
The site was formerly branded as Esso; it completely closed in 2012 but reopened in 2014.
The cafe was formerly known as 'Food Station'. This then became the Nesscliffe Pit Stop Café which closed in August 2018 and reopened as a Subway in October 2018.
The shop was formerly branded Spar until late 2017 when MFG acquired the site and re-branded the store as a Londis.
In February 2020, MFG submitted plans to build a Starbucks Drive Thru to the north of the filling station. In January 2021, amended plans were submitted following concerns from Highways England due to the exit of the drive thru lane running across the front of the forecourt amongst several others. New plans will see the drive thru lane run to the north of the forecourt and exit placed into the rear car park rather than the main forecourt.
