Note that while there are no services on the A449, it is included to complete the connect the two more trunk sections of the A40 via the M4 route. Welcome Break services at J8a of the M40, where the A40 becomes a minor road. The main London-Oxford road bypasses this junction, but there is still signed access to the services.

Notes: There was a Little Chef, in more prosperous times included a Burger King, it is now a car dealership. A little to the east is another service area where there is another former Little Chef. This became a café and recently closed all together.
