Trivia and History
The service station started as a petrol station (called Rydal Garage) and caravan centre on one of the main roads out of Acle.
In 1973 the first Little ChefHistory opened at Acle, opposite the petrol station. In 1988 this moved to a new building closer to the new A47 bypass, alongside a new petrol station. The old petrol station was then closed and demolished, and turned partly into a Travelodge (the remaining part is now the wooded area behind it).
A Burger King had been due to join the Little Chef here as part of a refurbishment in 2016 but this never happened.
The restaurant closed in March 2017 and it was replaced by Starbucks on 21 July 2017.
The forecourt has been branded Texaco, Q8 and Pace. It used to have a Spar branded store operated by MRH.
