Corley was expected to be a lucrative development, and its operator tried a number of tricks to take advantage of this.

In early 2020, a brand new secure HGV parking area opened in the south-eastern corner of the northbound service area with spaces for 80 HGVs. This earned Welcome Break a Park Mark Safer Parking Scheme award in March 2020 and was the first parking area in Warwickshire to receive this accolade. A condition of planning approval was that it is only allowed to be used on weekdays.

The forecourts here were rebranded from Shell to Welcome Break branding during spring 2020.

7 InstaVolt electric vehicle charging points are due to be installed here on the southbound side in 2021.
