There used to be a Little Chef on either side here, but both closed, northbound in the early '00s and southbound in 2010. They were known as Astwick and Baldock respectively. There was another abandoned café on southbound side but it has since been demolished.
The southbound side also has a separate service station just before it with the Travelodge and Little Chef. This used to be a Happy Eater.
